Effective communication of test results is crucial for providing quality healthcare to our patients. Dr Azar Kamali's adheres to the following policy to ensure that all patients are promptly informed of their test results in a timely and efficient manner:
1. Notification Procedure:
a. Once test results are received, Dr Azar Kamali will review them for clinical significance.
b. For all clinically significant results and test reports, we will proactively contact the patient via a text message.
c. The text message will inform the patient that their results are ready and request them to schedule an appointment
with their Dr Azar Kamali. d. In accordance with RACGP requirements, Dr Azar Kamali will attempt to contact the patient up to three times.
2. Patient Engagement:
a. We encourage patients to be actively involved in their healthcare.
b. For continuity of care, we ask that all results are reviewed with Dr Azar Kamali (although other practitioners maybe available).
c. This personalised discussion ensures a comprehensive understanding of the results, allows for any necessary explanations, and facilitates appropriate follow-up actions.
